Secretary to the Board Records

As the Secretary to the Board, the Lake County Clerk’s Office maintains certain records on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.

Board Minutes & Actions

Some records are available for viewing online – such as Board meeting minutes and actions, while copies of the following documents can be obtained by visiting the Board Support Division.

• Resolutions or ordinances passed by the Board
• Audio recordings from a Board meeting
• Contracts, leases, or agreements with the County
• Backup material for an agenda item that went before the Board

Lake County Code of Ordinances:

The Lake County Code contains general ordinances of the County. The Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners, publishes it. Access to the County’s Code may be obtained from the Municipal Code Corporation. Ordinances that have been adopted by the Board of County Commissioners but are not yet included in the Lake County Code may be accessed from the Lake County Attorney’s Office.

Financial Documents & Accounting

The financial documents maintained by the Clerk are designed to provide a general overview of Lake County’s finances. In accordance with Chapter 218, Florida Statutes, Lake County’s financial statements have been audited by independent certified public accountants. Some of the County’s financial documents are available to view on the Clerk’s website.
