County Civil

The County Civil Section processes the filings of all civil matters, not otherwise within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Circuit Court, in which damages sought do not exceed $50,000, as well as most landlord/tenant lawsuits.

County Civil is also the area that processes lawsuits that are subject to the small claims process, which are those lawsuits wherein the damages sought range from $.01 to $8,000 (exclusive of costs, interest, and attorneys’ fees).
