Criminal Division

The Criminal Division processes criminal cases filed in the Circuit Court of the Fifth Judicial Circuit in and for Lake County, Florida, and in the County Court of Lake County, Florida.

Circuit criminal cases include felony offenses and juvenile delinquency offenses.

County criminal cases include misdemeanor offenses, criminal traffic offenses, non-criminal infractions, and violations of county and municipal ordinances.

The Division also oversees the Appeals Section, which prepares the record on appeal from the county and circuit courts to the Fifth District Court of Appeal and the Florida Supreme Court.
