Under the direct supervision of a Senior Clerk, issues marriage licenses, performs marriage ceremonies, and processes passport applications in accordance with established guidelines. This position is assigned to three work locations, rotating between the Lake County Courthouse and branch offices located in Clermont and The Villages. This position is classified as non-exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to type 35 correct words per minute. Applications for positions requiring a typing assessment will not be submitted until the typing assessment has been completed. All applications, including required typing assessments, must be received in the Clerk’s Human Resources Office before the position closes to be considered. This is a traditional, in-person position. Starts at $17.52 per hour ($34,164.00 annually). Open until closed.
