Veterans’ appreciation event provides free passport photos in November
“This is our sixth year providing our veterans and military personnel with free passport photos,” said Gary Cooney, Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller. “Our service members sacrifice much for our Country, and this is just one small way we can show our appreciation and gratitude for what they do.” Since starting the veterans’ appreciation event in 2019, 320 veterans have been provided free photos. To be eligible for the free photo, military personnel can present their DD-214, military identification, or have a veteran designation on their driver’s license. Passports in Lake County are currently being processed by appointment at the following locations:
Appointments are available from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and can be made online. Veterans can also schedule an appointment by calling (352) 253-2648.
