Veterans’ appreciation event provides free passport photos in November
“This marks our seventh year providing free passport photos for our veterans and military personnel,” said Gary Cooney, Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller. “Our service members give so much in service to our Country, and this is one small way we can express our gratitude for what they do.” Since starting the veterans’ appreciation event in 2019, 417 veterans have been provided free photos. To be eligible for the free photo, military personnel can present their DD-214, military identification, or have a veteran designation on their driver’s license. Passports in Lake County are currently being processed by appointment at the following locations:
Appointments are available from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, and can be made online. Veterans can also schedule an appointment by calling (352) 253-2648.
